Facility Address: 240 Huffman Mill Rd, Burlington, NC 27215 Position Overview – 16-week contract Case Mix • General • OB • Cardiac Credentialing • 75-90 days Hours Info • 8-hour shift • No in-house call • No weekend call • No weeknight call • No OT expected Other • # OR rooms: 30 • CRNA/MD ratio: 4:1 • MDs supervising • MDs might be doing their own cases • Charting system: Epic Anesthesiologist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to) • Assist in the directing and coordinating of Activities in the Anesthesia Department • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures • Pre-anesthesia assessment • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition • Performance of clinical intervention as needed Anesthesiologist - REQUIREMENTS • Current license to practice medicine in the state of North Carolina. • Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology. • Currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or equivalent. • Must have a minimum of two years of recent experience. 3-5 years of experience is preferred.
