Minimum Education Requirements • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. • Residency training program in anesthesiology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the AOA. License & Certifications • Board certification in anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). • Active and unrestricted medical license in Florida . Experience • While specific requirements may vary, most locum anesthesiologist positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience providing anesthesia care in a clinical setting.
