Locum Anesthesiologist Needed in MA – M-F Schedule, Malpractice + Travel logistics Covered!

Location: Pittsfield, MA Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Start Date: As soon as credentialed Shift Type: Day shifts (ASAP start preferred) Duration: Ongoing locum coverage Position Details: We are seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist for an ongoing hospital-based locum tenens assignment in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have broad clinical experience across a variety of cases and demonstrate flexibility with shift schedules. A strong commitment to patient care, longevity in prior roles, and ability to integrate into a care team model are essential. Key Highlights: • Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM • Start Date: Immediate (upon credentialing) • Trauma Level: Level III • Supervision: Required (Care team model, 1:3 ratio with CRNAs) • Setting: Hospital-based • Patient Age Range: 12 years to geriatric • Average Daily Volume: • OR Cases: 5–7 • Endoscopy Cases: 15–25 • Operating Rooms: 9 Main ORs, 5 Endo Suites • Procedures Include: • General adult surgical anesthesia • Minor nerve blocks • IV regional anesthesia • Thoracic (non-cardiac) cases • Complex ortho and vascular (excluding open heart) • Spinal, epidural, regional, and neurosurgical anesthesia • Insertion of arterial lines • Management of acute volume and BP issues Requirements: • Board Certified (ABA) • Active Massachusetts License – Required (Not accepting IMLC) • BLS & ACLS Certification • Experience with endoscopy and standard OR cases – Required • Open availability and flexibility – Required • Experience with CRNA supervision – Required Additional Information: • Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 1 month • Supportive & Collaborative OR Staff • Anesthesia Cart Prep: Not required • Travel and Lodging: Complimentary (flight, hotel, rental car included) • Malpractice Insurance: Comprehensive coverage provided • Pay Rate: Negotiable based on experience and availability Why This Opportunity?
