Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an Anesthesia Advanced Practice Provider (CRNA or Anesthesiologist Assistant) to join their anesthesia care team. This role involves providing safe, high-quality, and patient-centered anesthesia services under the medical direction of anesthesiologists. The provider will deliver care to patients across all acuity levels in various clinical settings, including surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures. Practice Info • Functions as an integral member of the anesthesia care team • Practices under the medical direction of anesthesiologists • Delivers care to patients across all acuity levels • Provides services in surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures • Experience with CABGs, valves, and ideally LVADs and heart transplants • Will also cover cath lab, EP lab, as well as non-cardiac cases Responsibilities • Perform clinically as part of an anesthesia care team • Operate, use, and interpret data from a wide variety of equipment to perform anesthesia care • Provide necessary perioperative or operating room care to support patient safety and well-being • Collaborate with various clinical staff and other disciplines • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient population(s) served • Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and assess data reflective of patient's requirements • Maintain confidential records • Implement and adhere to facility policies and procedures Compensation • 1099 employment with covered medical malpractice Shift & Schedule • 9a-7p Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday • 11a-7p Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday Requirements • Graduation from a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (for CRNA) • Master's degree in Anesthesia from an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant program (for AA) • One (1) year of previous work experience in hospital setting, clinical quality, or performance improvement • Experience with Cardiac Anesthesia • Current Georgia CRNA license (or eligible and willing to obtain Georgia licensure) • Certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) • Current Georgia Anesthesiologist Assistant license (or eligible and willing to obtain Georgia licensure) • Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA) • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
