CAA Spartanburg South Carolina Hospital Based Coverage
A hospital-based Level 1 Trauma Center in the Upstate South Carolina region is seeking CAA's to provide scheduled anesthesia coverage within a collaborative, medically directed anesthesia care team. Providers will work alongside anesthesiologists and perioperative teams delivering anesthesia services for a wide range of surgical cases.
This opportunity offers a stable, predictable schedule with no call or weekend responsibilities, making it an excellent fit for experienced CRNAs seeking consistent hospital-based work in a high-acuity environment. Providers will support trauma and surgical services while working in a strong team-based anesthesia model with physician support.
Cases include a broad range of general surgical specialties with no OB or open cardiac cases. The environment includes strong anesthesiologist support for blocks, trauma workflow, and complex airway management.
Job Responsibilities: Perform pre-operative anesthesia assessments
Induction, maintenance, and emergence of anesthesia
Airway management and perioperative monitoring
Deliver anesthesia care under a medical direction model
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff
Participate in trauma and surgical anesthesia workflows
Maintain accurate anesthesia documentation within EMR
Qualifications: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant.
Minimum 1 year of recent anesthesia experience
Active or eligible South Carolina CRNA license
Active DEA license with South Carolina address
Active South Carolina CSR
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Level 1 trauma experience preferred
Recent anesthesia case logs required
Working Hours: Day shifts available
7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (8-hour shifts) preferred
7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts) also available
No weekend coverage required
Predictable weekday schedule
Skills: Strong anesthesia clinical skills
Airway management and induction techniques
Ability to work within a trauma environment
Effective collaboration with surgical and anesthesia teams
Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR systems
