As a Locum Anesthesiologist Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting anesthesia services, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities
• Assist anesthesiologists in the preparation and administration of anesthesia
• Monitor patient vital signs and responses during procedures
• Provide pre-operative assessments and post-operative care
• Participate in patient education regarding anesthesia options
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
• Collaborate with surgical teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Document anesthesia records accurately and thoroughly
• Stay current with advancements in anesthetic techniques and technology
Requirements
• Associate degree in Anesthesia or related field
• Certification as an Anesthesiologist Assistant
• Strong knowledge of anesthesia principles and practices
• Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care
• Experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-3p
No call
Patient Population: Pediatrics to geriatrics
General anesthesia, including healthy peds
Cases: Mostly ENT, some eye cases, and orthopedics; no hearts or OB
1:3 or 1:4 medical direction
EMR: Cerner
