Locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Job

Assignment Length: • June 1 - 5 • June 22 - September 4 Start Date: June 1 Openings: 1 Reason for Coverage: Long-term permanent search Practice Setting: • Inpatient • Bread and butter cases • No Neuro, CT, Lung, Spine, Cath Lab, OB or Trauma • 2 CRNAs to 1 Anesthesiologist Schedule: • Monday-Friday • 4 10-hour shifts or 5 8-hour shifts per week • No weekends or call required Patient Population: All ages EMR: EPIC Credentialing: 60-90 days Requirements: • Active Maine licensure • Board certification • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications • Minimum 1-year CRNA experience or equivalent Job Responsibilities (Generalized): • Provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management and postoperative pain management • Collaborate with surgeons, surgical teams and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes • Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic plans as needed • Respond to emergencies and provide critical care interventions • Maintain accurate and complete medical records • Stay current on the latest advancements in anesthesia practice through continuing education Skills: • Clinical expertise and technical proficiency in administering various anesthesia techniques • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a surgical team • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing patient conditions • Strong work ethic, stamina and ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment Requirements Education: • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited CRNA program Licenses & Certifications: • Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Maine • National certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Re-certification for Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA) Experience: • While specific requirements may vary, most locum CRNA positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical anesthesia setting Benefits Travel: If you reside greater than 50 miles from the facility you are eligible for travel benefits.
